Liquid Biopsy Summit

Dr. Tao gave a talk on on The 4th Liquid Biopsy Summit, June 17-19, 2019, San Francisco, CA. And the title was “Post-Translationally Modified Proteins in Extracellular Vesicles as Disease Biomarkers: Promise and Challenges”. If you are interested in this summit, please click here. Research Highlight

Our recent publication Phosphoproteins in extracellular vesicles as candidate markers for breast cancer. (I-Hsuan Chen, Liang Xue, Chuan-Chih Hsu, Juan Sebastian Paez Paez, Li Pan, Hillary Andaluz, Michael K Wendt, Anton B Iliuk, Jian-Kang Zhu, W Andy (2017). Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 114(12):3175-3180) has been highlighted in A Perspective on Extracellular Vesicles Proteomics (Livia Rosa-Fernandes, Victória Bombarda Rocha, Victor Corasolla Carregari, Andrea Urbani, Giuseppe Palmisano (2017). Front Chem5: 102). Three potential phosphopeptide markers belonging to the RALGAPA2, PRKG1, and TJP2 proteins were validated by PRM and showed to be significantly different between patients with breast cancer compared with healthy subjects, which gave them some help to some extent.
