A really special full-circle moment for the Tao Lab. Nearly two decades ago, Whitney Henry joined our lab as an undergraduate for her very first research experience. Last week, she returned to Purdue as Dr. Whitney Henry, now an Assistant Professor of Biology at MIT, to share her work on ferroptosis, lipid metabolism, and cancer biology.
It was wonderful to have Whitney back on campus and to hear about the science she is now leading. During her visit, she also spent time with students and faculty across the Department of Biochemistry, and met with our current lab members to talk about research, share experiences, and exchange ideas.
We’re proud to have been a small part of where her scientific journey began, and it was really special to welcome her back to Purdue after all these years.
